Covers

The covers collected in this page are dated from 1963 to 1992. However, most of them were published near the beginning of this period when Joe Brainard had just moved to New York. The first decade was the most productive in this form of his art because he had not yet made a name for himself. Later, he began creating out of his own interests and his covers became scarce.

Among the people he partnered with the most common names were Kenward Elmslie, Ted Berrigan, and Ron Padgett. These were his closest friends.
